GOAT Network (@GOATRollup) has partnered with Free Protocol (@Protocol_Free), a cross-chain omnilayer for locked assets, clearing the way for both individual users and industry-leading BTCFi protocols to securely onboard BTC assets to GOAT Network, ahead of the Bitcoin Layer 2 network's imminent mainnet launch.

Free Protocol helps users instantly make their staked assets liquid, while unlocking extra yield potential on GOAT Network. It works by allowing users to bridge their staked assets to more profitable chains (such as GOAT), where the full value of those assets can be harnessed via higher and more sustainable yield-bearing opportunities.

GOAT Network will enable users to lock their Bitcoin into GOAT sequencer nodes, thus starting a flywheel that will allow users to earn sustainable BTC yield while retaining liquidity. Free Protocol’s integration with GOAT Network will enable users to leverage Free Protocol’s bridging capabilities, seamlessly moving their staked assets across Layer-2 chains.
